Police Officer Pepper-Sprayed and Arrested for DUI

A police officer in Kansas City, Missouri was arrested at 3 a.m. Wednesday morning when she was seen swerving on North Oak Trafficway and driving on the center median. The off-duty officer, 29-year-old M.L., was stopped and the officer that pulled her over could smell alcohol in the car. He asked M.L. to perform several field sobriety tests, none of which she was able to pass successfully. When the officer attempted to place her in handcuffs, she fought back, scratching the officer on the neck. Even after they pepper-sprayed her, she continued to assault them and head-butted the second officer as she was being placed in the van. She is facing two charges of assault and resisting arrest.
